Since many years, HAVER & MAILÄNDER supports the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Teams from the universities of Freiburg, Tübingen, Heidelberg and Mannheim, which regularly belong to the best teams at the international competitions in Vienna and Hong Kong. At the annual HAVER & MAILÄNDER Vis pre moot, the teams exercised their pleadings in our offices and were coached by our experienced arbitration experts. The teams already showed great skills and expertise, and we wish all teams best of luck at the upcoming competitions!

The Legal 500 Germany once again honours HAVER & MAILÄNDER as TOP TIER 2023 among commercial law firms in Stuttgart.
The firm's dispute resolution/arbitration practice, including international arbitration, which has been very successful for years, is also highlighted again.

Elisabeth S. Wyrembek LL.M. and Dr. Sebastian Vollmer will be appointed to the partnership as of 01.01.2023. Elisabeth S. Wyrembek has been working for HAVER & MAILÄNDER in the area of European and German antitrust law since 2016. Dr Sebastian Vollmer, who started at HAVER & MAILÄNDER in 2019, specialises in corporate law and arbitration. With these partner appointments, the firm continues its successful strategy of developing highly qualified young lawyers from its own lawyers' ranks into partners. We congratulate the new partners and welcome them to the partnership.

The Stuttgart-based commercial law firm HAVER & MAILÄNDER is reorganising its management as of January. The current Managing Partner Dr. Peter Mailänder will remain part of the dual leadership and Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schnelle will hand over his office to Dr. Timo Alte. The newly elected leadership is to successfully develop the law firm in the coming years.
Dr. Peter Mailänder (56) has been managing partner for ten years, he heads the M&A department and is mainly active as an experienced transaction lawyer and corporate lawyer for medium-sized companies. New to the management team is Dr. Timo Alte (43), who joined the firm in 2007 and advises national and international medium-sized companies, including many family-owned companies, in the areas of corporate law and M&A as a partner.
Dr. Timo Alte succeeds Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schnelle (60), who, together with Dr. Peter Mailänder, has focused the Stuttgart law firm on its core competences and developed it into a modern partnership with up-and-coming associates and partners during their joint tenure since 2013. With the rejuvenation of the management team, the next generation change is also to be tackled in the medium term.
