HAVER & MAILÄNDER SUPPORTS THE PROJECT “DER FREIHEIT EINE GASSE” OF THE LITERATURHAUS STUTTGART
We are delighted and proud to support the extraordinary literature and exhibition project “DER FREIHEIT EINE GASSE” at the STUTTGARTER LITERATURHAUS.
Friedrich Schiller wrote unequivocally: “There is nothing I would like to violate less against people I value and love than their freedom.”
The project, inspired by the quote from constitutional lawyer Christoph Möllers: “There is no primacy of individual over collective freedom”, focuses on democracy and civil liberties.
Young authors are addressing this topic in a creative way - visible on large-format posters in five cities in Baden-Württemberg: STUTTGART, FREIBURG, SCHWÄBISCH HALL, LADENBURG and HEILBRONN. In addition to the posters in public spaces, the project is accompanied by a “digital kit” and five festivals or evening events.
Bettina Backes, Chairwoman of the supporting association of LITERATURHAUS STUTTGART and lawyer at HAVER & MAILÄNDER: “A happy life is only possible in freedom. A functioning community requires freedom. Freedom requires courage. That is why we support this important project in the interests of democracy and civil liberties.”
