Roland Kläger is Co-Head of the firm’s Arbitration and Litigation practice group. As an experienced counsel and arbitrator, he has handled dozens of major international arbitration proceedings. He also represents clients in disputes before state courts and has been involved in landmark decisions of the highest courts. His expertise covers technically and legally complex cross-border disputes, including in the sectors of electronics, automotive, energy, chemicals, plant and mechanical engineering, finance, post-M&A, and supply chains. He also acts in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement, as well as the setting aside, of arbitral awards.

Roland Kläger is proficient in all major arbitration rules (in particular ICC, DIS, LCIA, UNCITRAL, VIAC, Swiss Rules, DIA, Chambers of Industry and Commerce, and ad hoc proceedings). He is a recognised author, a speaker at specialist conferences, and has been recommended for many years by leading market rankings. MORE

Roland Kläger studied at the University of Freiburg and obtained his doctorate from the University of Tübingen. He previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Freiburg, as a Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge, and in the dispute resolution practice of an international commercial law firm in Frankfurt.
