Peter Mailänder studied at the Universities of Freiburg, Bonn and Hamburg. He holds a Master of Comparative Jurisprudence (NYU), was admitted as an Attorney at Law in 1993, obtained his doctorate (Dr. jur.) from the University of Hamburg in 1998, and has been practising as a lawyer since 1997. He has been Managing Partner of HAVER MAILÄNDER since 2013.
Peter Mailänder leads the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. He also specialises in corporate law. His clients include renowned medium-sized companies, hidden champions, many family-owned businesses and international corporations. He has received multiple awards for his ability to bring M&A transactions to a successful close in a decisive and pragmatic manner, to structure corporate organisations, and to handle complex disputes. Peter Mailänder is a member of several foundation and supervisory bodies (including supervisory boards, advisory boards and committees), holds leadership roles in various non-profit organisations, and is a sought-after speaker and lecturer at the University of Konstanz.
