At this year’s conference of the legal practice groups of the DAJV at the Institute for Law and Finance of the Goethe University the practice group Arbitration Litigation Mediation chaired by Dr. Rolf M. Winkler will present two sessions on highly actual topics of arbitration and on litigation financing.

The focus of the second workshop will be the modernization of the German international arbitration law, which is the subject of a German committee convened by the Minister of Justice on the revision of the 10th Book of the German Federal Rules on Civil Procedure, and which is also one of the aims of the present revision of the Rules of Arbitration of the German Institute of Arbitration (DIS) and which shall be finalized until the end of 2017. Two lawyers with specific experiences in this field will speak on this topic: James Menz, J.D., the Deputy General Secretary and Head of Case Management of DIS, and Dr. Jörg Kondring, the General Counsel of Voith GmbH, Heidenheim/Germany.

Three other legal practice groups of DAJV will also discuss on Friday afternoon with legal experts other hot topics of their respective legal fields Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Constitution, Legislation, Public Law (CLPL) and Tax Law (TAX).
